As the director of the North San Antonio Senior Care Centers I have been involved in understanding and caring for seniors suffering from Alzheimer's disease and other dementia related disorders for the past twelve years. Over the course of those years I have come to know many families stricken by Alzheimer's and I have assisted many of them in getting answers regarding treatment, care and other issues involving Alzheimer's and dementia. Fortunately the Inland Empire area has a wealth of dedicated individuals and organizations who have made it their goal that anyone suffering from this debilitating disease receive the best treatment possible, while also being as helpful as possible in assisting the families of the patients stricken with Alzheimer's and demential related disorders.

On the left you will find a series of links that will lead you to information, support groups, Government agencies, and other services and suppliers that may be of assistance to you in dealing with your family member's illness. I have posted this site in the hopes that it can help direct you to answers for your questions. I also write a column dealing with Alzheimer's and dementia issues that appears on the second Friday of every month in my blog. I would welcome any suggestions for future topics in that column, just e-mail me via the link on the bottom left.

It is normal to occasionally forget assignments, colleagues' names, or a business associate's telephone number and remember them later. Those with dementia, such as Alzheimer's disease (AD), forget things more often, and do not remember them later.
